the slavery of religion

So wanted to mess with marvellous designer to get some cloth and drapes on the mechas and ships I create, I just think its going to look a really cool style. this was a bit of a hatchet job with my first attempt going between the 3 sets of software. I just wanted his mech/Ai super villain type thing running a cult thinly veiled as a religion. on a personal level this is the first image in a long time ive sort of felt ok with, im sure it will change next week lol.

hunter killers

this started off as just a mine sweeper mech, but it quickly changed to more of a heavy troop support vehicle .
the smaller drones are sweepers scanning and pinpointing for the heavies to go in . bit of 3d, bit of paint and photo bashing in this. I was going to do the whole with in 3d but after just finishing a project this became more of a wind down image.

the planet was dead

expanding the universe from the previous shot. I really liked the pod ship so I’ve bulked it up to make it a more industrial type science vessel. im really keen to get back into bringing the colour back into my ship designs. I just wanted this whole image to feel sulphurous and thick, even the mist needed to feel heavy. hope ive managed to convey this.

So I made this ship, had no idea what to do with it, which happens sometimes, sometimes its the other way around, so thought id have a mess with some of the new brushes I got. it was just the ship and landscape but then I thought putting some poor chap behind a rock might give it a bit more story :0
